The Picture Department with our unique and comprehensive reference library and Internet services, helps to ensure that clients' pictures are marketed to the best possible advantage.
Our Picture Department covers all areas, including oil paintings, miniatures, watercolours and other drawings as well as engravings, etchings and prints.
We have successfully identified an unrecorded Hogarth portrait and two small sketches by Constable and the firm has continued to achieve many world record prices over the last three decades, including £410,000 for a masterpiece by the Swiss artist Wolfgang Adam Topffer.
Pictures are sold within the Quarterly Fine Art Sales and also within the 20th Century and Contemporary Sales, of which there are two annually.
We are always happy to assist and advise on pictures that you may be thinking of selling, either by email, facetime, telephone or in person.
